Abstract

There is no doubt that International Criminal Law has developed in recent years. Before the Nuremberg and Tokyo trial there is not as such concept of individual responsibility, crimes against humanity, crime against peace. It’s really led a revolutionary development in the field of International criminal Law. The Nuremberg trials established that all of humanity would be guarded by an international legal shield and even a Head of State would be held criminally responsible and punished for aggression and Crimes against Humanity. Even though these tribunals have been accused of being unfair and merely institutions for “victor’s justice,” but nevertheless they did lay down the groundwork for modern international criminal law.
