The report focuses on projecting the present working condition of the Examination Branch of the University of Kerala and suggests some recommendations for its betterment. The reports had shown that the University Examinations are complex and repetitive in nature. The study has shown that there are so many drawbacks regarding the receipt and distribution of all papers connected with the examination by the Controller of Examinations. The study suggests on how to process the application forms of the candidates. The delayed fees collection from the Harijan Welfare Department should be rectified. Also it has been shown that there were no facilities available for the assistants to store the applications properly which inturn affects the efficiency. It was also noted that there was no Office Manual. The report concludes with some recommendations. Decentralisation of the official work up to the level of Assisitant Controller of Examinations, Implementation of simplified application forms, usage of different clour card for different types of examinations, micro-processing level of work at the preparation of tabular sheets and mark sheets, regulation of private registration, keeping well arranged records and prompt evaluation of remuneration to Examiners were among the valuable recommendations.
